I would like to encourage all new Information Technology students (single or double degree) to attend the FIT Orientations planned for this week. I work at them - both Carseldine on Tuesday and Gardens Point on Thursday. They are invaluable for understanding the idiosyncracies of our particular faculty. You get fed, learn all the specific terms, meet other people who are also starting with FIT and we can answer any questions you have about the IT degrees offered at QUT.
This is not the same as attending the general orientations programs. This is FIT specific and can really help you with your first couple of weeks.
